The Story:
Cody Dorman, a native of Richmond, KY was born with a rare genetic disorder called Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, leaving him unable to walk and communicate without using a tablet. In 2018, he and his family participated in a Make-A-Wish event at Godolphin’s Gainsborough Farm in Versailles, KY where one of the foals was selected to meet Cody. After the foal laid his head on Cody’s lap, an incredible bond was born. This foal was later named Cody’s Wish in honor of Cody. Many articles have been written about the relationship that improved Cody’s life and gave others hope.

Cody’s Wish successful racing career included winning the Eclipse Award for 2023 American Horse of the Year, 2023 American Older Male Dirt Champion, and the Secretariat Vox Populi award, the “voice of the people” for both 2022 and 2023. Owned and bred by Godolphin, LLC.
